An elephant seal pup in Antarctica catches a bad cold and passes it around to the entire colony. The first portion of this photo book is a rhyming story. The second portion uses blended photos to educate children and adults about southern elephant seals.

A young Adelie penguin (right) in Antarctica returns to his family's traditional rookery to mate and raise a family. He is shocked to find that Gentoo penguins, able to tolerate the increasingly warmer weather, have taken over the nesting site and won't let the Adelies back in.
